Humanim’s Evidence Based Supported Employment (EBSE) Program works with individuals with chronic and severe mental illness. The model is based off of over 25 years or research out of Dartmouth University, and is implemented in conjunction with the Behavioral Health Administration and the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. This model breaks down our services in three areas: Staffing, Organization, and Service Delivery. Through operating in high fidelity of the model, our program outcomes consistently meet the vocational targets on both the state and national level. Our Employment Consultants do every aspect of the vocational process, focus on individualized career planning, and are an active part of the individual’s clinical team. All employment services focus on individualized person-centered planning; services include career assessment, career exploration, skill development, benefits counseling, job placement, on-going job support, including on and off site job coaching. Our goal is to work with individuals and his/her treatment team to create an integrated plan of care that increases the individual’s independence, self-efficacy, and recovery.
