Mobile Treatment Services (MTS)
are targeted to individuals whose mental health needs have not been
met through routine, traditional outpatient mental health programs.
Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team consisting of a
psychiatrist, nurse and social worker who provide services in various
community settings determined by the needs of the individual. The
purpose of mobile treatment services is to enable the individual to
remain in the community by reducing admissions to in-patient facilities,
detention centers, and emergency rooms and achieve transition to less
intensive outpatient services. In Howard County, the provider of MTS
is WayStation, Inc., an affiliate of Sheppard Pratt at Howard County.
Contact Colette Wolf, the MTS Program Director, at 410-381-6021 to
make a referral.
